Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Python Academy (the "Service"), operated by [Your registered business name]. By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Python Academy provides online programming courses with interactive, auto-graded exercises that run in your browser. Some lessons are free; others require a purchase to unlock.

2. Your account

You must provide an accurate email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for a single person and may not be shared. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country (or have a guardian's consent).

3. Purchases & payment

Purchases are one-time payments that grant lifetime access to the purchased course tier(s), subject to these terms. Prices are shown in EUR and may change, but changes do not affect purchases already made. Orders are sold and processed by Paddle, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record; your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms, and Paddle handles billing, receipts and any applicable taxes. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. Licence to use the content

On purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the course materials for your own learning. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, publicly post, share your account, or scrape or bulk-download the materials, except as permitted by law.

5. Intellectual property

All course materials, code, text and design are protected by intellectual-property rights and remain owned by [Your registered business name] or its licensors. Python Academy is an English-language edition based on an existing curriculum; rights in the original curriculum belong to its respective authors. Solutions you write to the exercises remain yours.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service: no attempts to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it; no unlawful, infringing or abusive activity; and no use of automated means to extract content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided for educational purposes on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will achieve any particular learning or career outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [Your registered business name] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory consumer rights.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Changes

We may update the Service and these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date will change, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Slovakia, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country in which you live.
